Hi all,
I would like to replace tracker-search-tool for tracker-needle some point
soon. Are there any objections to this?
If no one objects or there is a reasonable acceptance of this by the end of
the week I will do it next week some time.
Not sure if these are bad-enough regressions for you to hold back:
* Being able to view the path; tooltip would be nice, to maintain the
clean design.
That should be there already. Might depend on the view.
* Being able to open a parent directory (maybe through a right-click menu?).
I would like to avoid context menus if possible. Perhaps a right click
on an item is enough :) It's a bit unexpected, but ...
* Categories are rather important; I like TST design, but a combobox
is an ok compromise.
Does anyone else want this, so far I just hear Tshepang asking for this.
I guess it could make sense. It would be quite easy to add for the 1st
view already. The others might need some more work. I don't think this
should stop us from merging it to master though, we can improve on
tracker-needle as we go on.
