Not sure how it is going to be handle in maemo. Keep a generic enough API... there shouldn't be much variation.

Just so you know, the API here has changed slightly.

Methods:

 * gchar * get_status()          - any string

human readable ?

 Don't forget, it needs to be a translatable string! Maybe an enum makes sense here?
