What exactly needs to be done for this?
The TrackerConfig API needs implementing instead of the
TrackerConfiguration API.
Sure, I can try to get around to do that in a few days.
I have a stale change sitting around (I
should bring that up to date again) that should vastly simplify
tracker-preferences.
Yes please!
As for using tracker-config, Im really not a fan of tracker-config and would
prefer tracker-configuration.
Can I ask why?
The TrackerConfiguration API is far easier to maintain. Rather than having
functions for every single option, its a simple, generic API.
While we are talking about configuration, I wanted to add some ideas
and requests that were brought to me by Debian users.
They are looking for a way to set tracker options system wide (via
/etc/xdg/) and possibly a way to lock down certain options.
Would something like this be possible with the current architecture?
