Hello Tracker experts,
I built a custom Linux boot cd for the tracker. When I ran the trakerd-0.6.4 on /mnt/hd (mounted
partition), I ran out of the $HOME disk space (tmpfs).
1) Is there any way I can setup my own index cache directory instead of using the default one
(~/.cache/tracker)? So I can use my thumb drive to contain all data like /mnt/thumb/cache/tracker and
/mnt/thumb/local/share/tracker.
symlink it in if you like
2) Should I modify the src code to do this?
3) Soon I will upgrade the tracker to 0.6.6 or to the main trunk. Will this new version handle the above
modification?
unlikely due to security reasons of housing it outside of your protected
home directory
a networked tracker might of course have that facility
