Re: [Tracker] How to enable the Thunderbird backend? (End of the story)

Hi all,

I've finally found the bug... To solve it, I've created a TB brand new
profile and the extension worked perfectly. Then, I've disabled all the
extensions in my main profile and re-enabled them one by one...

The problem comes from the Buttons! extension
(https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/thunderbird/addon/106) which seems to be
incompatible with the tracker extension....

Once removed, everything works perfectly...

THanks all for your remarks (and for the tracker-utils.h trick)

regrds,
dav

I used the tracker.xpi included in the SVN trunk (with the TB patch)...
Same problem with the xpi in the blog.

By the way, and i don't now if it is related I sometimes have trackerd
crashes with :

FATAL ERROR: can't open database at
/home/MYLOGIN/.cache/tracker/home/MYLOGIN/.cache/tracker/tmp-file-index.db

That is the known bug and it's not related to the Thunderbird support.
The workaround is to set up some hight number in the
#define MERGE_LIMIT
in the tracker-utils.h file.
