check the dbus service file tracker.service
in /usr/share/dbus-1/services

this file is installed with tracker when you do make install (see
makfefile in tracker/data and tracker.service.in)

Thanks, just letting you know that modifiying /usr/share/dbus-1/services/tracker.service worked. Strange that it was not done automatically at compile time.
