I ve found the problem - it was creating a new thumbnail factory every
time for the meatdata tile - now changed it to shared one and mem usage
still grows although slowly while navigating (about 1MB per 10 page
changes)

that slow growth is all in the thumbnail factory so must assume leaks
are there or its caching thumbs

will commit my changes in a few hours (as Im busy sorting out other
issues in tst atm)
