The tags are spread between programs?
Its possible, but only if application authors use tracker. Then tags
could be shared, and we could all live in metadata rich bliss...
What a wonderful world :) !
The question is: there is a possibility to spread all this tags between
the programs or not?
Its definitely possible
But only if the program use tracker as metadabase. Otherwise there is no
way to integrate the two. isn't it?
An example:
A user has some photos from her camera relative to a project called "A".
* She tags the pictures as "A" in f-spot (e.g.)
Is tracker able to find this photos using the tag "A" ?
Only if you have the "write metadata back to file" option set in
f-spot. F-spot uses its own tag store and does not use tracker.
The she received some mail and she want to tag them as "A". is
thunderbird (from the version 2 it should be) able to find the tag "A" ?
Nautilus is able to show the tag "A" on that pictures?
I am working on nautilus integration at the moment. I will post news
on this soon.
yeah... The possibility to tag from the nautilus should be one of the
killer integration of tracker. :))
What happen if the nautilus is compiled with tracker and beagle support?
Which one is used as search engine?
I don't know if this is already discussed. Point me to the right
resources, if it is :)
Im happy you can see the power and flexibility that a single tag
storage facility will bring!
