Jamie and Guys,

I am hacking a bit on nautilus integration with Tracker. I was
wondering what peoples thoughts are on the following;

1) Should tracker/nautilus ship with a predefined list of tags roughly
equivilent to the basic emblem-* icons supported by the icon-theming
spec.... (important, readonly, link, smiley faces, etc)
Yes! That would be the natural next step in evolution :) Right now Emblems are a largely under-exposed feature in Nautilus, although it has some great potential.
2) Is attaching an image to a tag something that would be
interesting/possible within tracker? For example in leaftag, tags
could be associated with an image either by icon-name or by a small
serialized representation of the tag stored in the DB.
3) Is namespacing tags supported or interesting from trackers
perspective? For example presenting 500 tags in the nautilus UI is a
bit unweildy. Could this list be restricted to a subset through
namespacing or is this problem better solved elsewhere, like with a
typeahead filtering sidebar ala f-spot?
Stock Emblems/Icons could be associated with stock Tags, like "Important", "Draft", "Private" and so on, so they could be themeable, correct? So, user defined emblems/icons/tags are the main question here

F-Spot UI is ok, I'd hope to see something like an evolution of the current Emblems tab in file properties, though

Thanks

John
