2007/2/10, jamie <jamiemcc blueyonder co uk>:
And its now in SVN
along with a new improved TST (featuring tabs and email support too) and
a preferences capplet which can be seen in your preferences menu (pass
--enable-preferences at autogen/configure to build it)
This needs testing before I release it
Can people with especially IMAP test this please
(make sure you enable evolution email support in tracker.cfg or capplet)
please report any bugs ASAP
- tracker-stats does not list the number of indexed Emails
- I can't search for emails with tracker-search (works with t-s-t)
- if your mail server is foo.bar.com, a search for foo in t-s-t will
list the evolution folders ~/.evolution/mail/imap/user foo bar com/...
I don't really consider that a bug, the question is, should we expose
this information to the user or not? I think the user doesn't care,
where his email is stored.
- The width of the snippets in t-s-t is fixed. I'd prefer if they
would use the complete width of the t-s-t window.
- I had to remove .Tracker/databases and rerun trackerd to get the
email indexing working.
What about adding a button to tracker-preferences: "Rebuild index
databases", which sends a signal to trackerd to do that automatically.
Cheers,
Michael
