I haven't tested the email support (as I use TB) but considering the
tracker-preferences capplet I have the following comments:
On changes in the capplet it should send a ConfigChanged or Reload
signal to trackerd, so that it automatically picks up the changed
configuration. Having a user kill trackerd and restarting it by hand
is not very userfriendly ;-)
