Re: [Tracker] The Tracker Website plan

Hello

A possible solution is to use the Trac http://trac.edgewall.org/

The trac provide a wiki, svn browse, tickets, timeline and roadmap. And
have a lot of plugins http://trac-hacks.org/

The problem is that it uses python and it can be more difficult to find
a server

Hello list,

This is what's going on on the tracker website, which are the plans and
how we want to do things.

1) Move all the tracker web site to a CMS and resolve the domain to the
correct one (tracker-project.org), without bothering ppl changing the
bookmarks to *where* we physically host the project.

Technical requirements:
- -. php5
- -. mysql

Jon has proposed to ask the freedesktop ppl to have the project
website hosted there.

Right now we are using the GNOME infrastructure but it's no possible to
have php or mysql.

why a CMS: (WordPress or Drupal).

- -. Easy to manage
- -. Collaborative editing of the website, with an entry barrier.
- -. We don't need to reinvent the wheel (seems a good point to me)

Now, Jon can you give us any feedback about the situation?

You have also bought the domain so you can fix the DNS trouble.

Let us know.

Cheers,
Michele
