Hi,
i missed the feature that allowed to exclude a list of directories
from being indexed, mostly usable when having lots of apps in some dir
below $HOME installed.
The directories to exclude form indexing can be set by a new cfg
variable in the Indexes stanza - I thought it might be the right
place.
I patched the CVS tracker.
The patch does well here, any comments?
Thanks but unfortunately we dont want to watch directories that we dont
index (unless explicitly told otherwise).
In fact we dont index stuff that isn't watched either (unless its
explicitly called through the Dbus API)
Thats why we have the NoWatchDirectories setting which does the same job
effectively
I believe Samuel did a patch (1) to make this operational. I have not
applied to cvs yet as I still need to think about the future case when
an app asks tracker to explicitly watch a folder as Samuels patch would
block this.
However I am planning to add Samuels patch anyhow (as well as a few
others) today and worry about changing it later when we expose Watches
in tracker's Dbus api in a later version.
