yes that is in our plans. (please subscribe to tracker mailing list on 
page  http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/tracker-list)

One of the Deskbar developers (Mikkel Kamstrup) has volunteered to 
create a PyGTK app at some point for this purpose although he's 
currently busy with Deskbar at the moment. If you are interested in 
contributing towards a GUI that would be great and I would suggest 
discussing it on the tracker list.
