Well, I thought they updated the PPA, but maybe you need to be on
Intrepid or later. I'd ask some Ubuntu people, or visit the PPA's site
in Launchpad.
If you are up to the adventure, you could always build Tasque from source:
http://live.gnome.org/Tasque/Building
Instead of getting code from SVN, you'll want to download the 0.1.8
tarball (see the Download page).
If you need any more help, don't hesitate to ask,

The latest version of Tasque is 0.1.8. It fixes a bug similar to this.
