Interesting... In Tasque 0.1.8, if your browser preferences are not set, 
the button text changes to "Set your default browser and try again" or 
something like that.

What is the value of /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http/command in GConf?

Perhaps your browser is hanging, or something.
