Here are some comments on the users tool, I will send some more
later this week.
1. Change the "Comment" label to "Full Name", if the account is
a system account then we change the label to "Comment".
Tambet:I don't know who is deciding what is a system account, but
that information should be provided by the backend.
2. Advanced mode does not really mean that the users want to see
the system logins. Think about sean (our sysadmin) would he want
to see the "halt" user ? maybe not. So when we go into advanced
mode we bring up a check box that says "[ ] Show system users" and
depending on that check box we show/hide the system users.
3. The sysadmins should be able to set each user primary and secondary
groups from clicking on settings. We need to have 2 lists of groups
one list is the groups the user does not belong to and the other is
the list that the user belongs to (see gedit->plugins->manager if what
i just said does not make sense at all). On the "members" list we mark
with bold the primary group that the user belongs to. We also need a
button "set as primary group" to change the primary group. If the primary
group is removed frmo the list, we make the primary group the first in
the list. The sysadmin should not be able to close the dialog without a
user selected.
Tambet: you can do #1 without anna's help
Anna: please do #2 first so that tambet has work for tomorrow then #3
thanks guys,
Chema
