[Diff] IP entries

I've taken to posting diffs here lately. I think it's a good idea when you
make tool-spanning changes.

These changes eliminate the separate entry boxes for IP numbers and the error
checking associated with that approach.

Miguel: Note that I still think this is a step in the wrong direction.

Anyhow, I'm applying it now.
