Snowy does not have a huge codebase and is quite easy to set up and work with, so it's the perfect project to get you started with pyhon/django, really :) I just updated the wiki with links to our blog posts that we did to summarize the hackfest. They contain some information about what we talked about and what we did. If you want to know what we discussed about a specific topic in more detail, I recommend just asking on the IRC. Most of what needs attention right now are bigger tasks, such as the mobile client, note editing and note sharing, which are all being worked on right now. To get started, I recommend taking a look at the bug tracker. Not all of the bugs in there are directly relevant - some of them are just to track our overall progress. But there are some coding tasks that might be well-suited to get you started (to list a few: [0][1][2]). I will also try to get some snowy tasks in for the Google Code-In contest, so in case you are a high-school student you can have a go at those. In case you aren't, you can still have a go at them, but preferably after the contest has ended so we don't duplicate any work. If you have any questions regarding snowy or the snowy code, feel free to poke me on IRC.
