I still get

I have those related PPA active:

and I think this means I am stuck:

ppa:vala-team/ppa
Cannot add PPA: ''This PPA does not support trusty''.

those needed to run the package).  And then I'd find a newer version of

and get another error go ahead and reply on the list again.  Hope that
