Hey Jim, thanks for the reply

Is there something in particular you're seeing that looks bad? I've
run Shotwell on Utopic and Vivid beta under Unity and it looks fine to
me. Is there something in particular that I'm overlooking?

Some issues with the dialogs (preference, export, publish, ...)
- they don't have borders which makes they look flat/weird and difficult
to resize
- the wm control are different on those (one big close button compared
to 3 round ones using the unity theme)
- the titlebar don't hide when maximized
- right clicking on those decoration don't give the option to e.g move
to other workspaces or keep on top which wm decorations do

While we're on the topic, what are the odds of seeing the latest
versions of Geary and California in Vivid? Right now Vivid offers
Geary 0.8.3 (0.9.1 is the latest unstable) and no California package.

Those packages don't really have a dedicated maintainer in Ubuntu at the
moment. We merge geary from Debian and didn't package California yet.
The Ubuntu Desktop Team doesn't especially have free cycles to work on
those at the moment but if anyone is interested to work on them please
give us a ping, we can help with sponsoring.

Cheers,
