Yes and no.  Yes, it's relatively easy, but when we "broke" things, we
decided we wanted to add restore functionality and think through what
form we wanted the backups to take before reinstating it.  This has
become more complicated as we've added support for managing more kinds
of secrets.

Yes, C is the language of choice.  We've toyed around with vala in the
past and libcryptui is primed for introspection, so perhaps in
seahorse-plugins we'll look at python or javascript plugins to parts
of Gnome's infrastructure.

I have programmed in C++, but have no interest in digging into the FF
internals/plugin architecture.  I would be happy to accept/mentor
attempts though.
