Yup, I'm still affected by this. I have to kill sawfish and start
metacity if I want to show a presentation. 

Window cycling shows that the full-screen presentation window is
present, but just not visible. This does not seem to be related to
themes, I have tried different themes. I have also tried to change
focus policies.

I'm using sawfish 1.6.2.
