Use sawfish-client to verify that your $HOME/.sawfish/lisp directory
is in your load-path
% sawfish-client
user> load-path
Then put your custom file in
~/.sawfish/lisp/sawfish/wm/placement/smart.pl
and restart Sawfish using the 'restart' command (which I think is in
one of the default window menus).
