I'm also german and I also reported that issue.

AFAIK it's not just german umlaute (= ä ö ü) and sz (= ß), but also the
frenchies stuff (= é, è and so on).

I guess it's librep related, but currently I don't know there to look,
but perhaps some could to that (or at least give me a usefull hint).
