themes Makefile from sawfish-1.3.4 has installation issues

'make install ....' for sawfish, at least in 1.3.4, appears to
have troubles.  If you will look closer then in output you will see:
/usr/bin/install: omitting directory `./mxflat/button-icons'
Indeed that happens and that includes also a content of all
subdirectories of 'button-icons'.  The trouble is that from
the code in question not installed files are needed.

An easy way out would be pack the whole 'mxflat' tree into
mxflat.tar.gz.  'sawfish' accepts themes in such format just
fine.
