Ooh, thanks!  I didn't know about -s.  :)

BTW, I discovered that GNOME svn already has git and bzr mirrors.  
For example:

  http://bzr-mirror.gnome.org/bzr/sawfish/
  http://git-mirror.gnome.org/git/sawfish/
