Relative include path in rep-gtk-0.18.1 /usr/include/rep_subrs.h

Trying to recompile rep-gtk-0.18.1 after having installed
librep-0.17.1 I get the following error:

 gcc -c -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -s -O3 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/include/gtk-2.0 -I/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/include -I/usr/include/atk-1.0 -I/usr/include/cairo -I/usr/include/pango-1.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/include -I/usr/lib/rep/i686-pc-linux-gnu -I/usr/include/libglade-2.0 -I/usr/include/gtk-2.0 -I/usr/include/libxml2 -I/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/include -I/usr/include/atk-1.0 -I/usr/include/cairo -I/usr/include/pango-1.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/include/gtk-2.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include rep-gtk.c  -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/rep-gtk.o

Indeed, line 26 of the previously installed
/usr/include/rep_subrs.h reads:

    #include "../config.h"

/usr/include/rep_subrs.h gets installed by librep-0.17.1. The
path is relative in the include also in librep-0.17.1 source
tree.

Which is the config.h it is expecting to find? Any clue how
to fix this?

Thanks,

Mihai
