Hm.  Wierd.  I'll have to dig into it on Sunday and get back to you.

In the meantime, try turning on Maximum debugging per:

http://live.gnome.org/Sabayon/Internals#Turning_on_logging

The LDAP code's never had much excercise, so there's probably all manner of
gremlins hiding in there.
