rygel and m3u playlists

I understand that rygel can make an m3u playlist available to a client, but I am unable to make it do so.

If I am streaming music from, say, /mnt/sda1/media/music:

Where should playlist.m3u be located?
Should playlist.m3u contain the full path, for example /mnt/sda1/media/music/artist/album/track.flac
Should playlist.m3u contain a relative path?

Can rygel automatically compile playlists, for example, most played?
