Should be 0.20.x IIRC. dpkg -l rygel should tell you more. --version not 
showing
anything is a known issue on debian-based distributions.

You could try upgrading to 0.24.x from the PPA:

That's odd. Which client are you using and which backend -
Do you have a Files & Folders (Dateien & Ordner) folder or not?
