Are the DVR and Ubuntu machine in different but routed
subnets?
If you are asking me about the settings of the router they are
IP Address |
192.168.1.1 |
DHCP |
On |
IP Subnet Mask |
255.255.255.0 |
The Humax is set to
IP 192.168.1.4
Netmask 255.255.255.0
Gateway and DNS both 192.168.1.1
The
humax is a DNLA client. The TV is connected to the humax via
hdmi.

I have installed Rygel because I thought I needed a DNLA
device. After
installing rygel the network has been found by the Humax
HDR-FOX T2.
When I try to go into the network via the Humax to look at
the
recordings available on the ubuntu 12.041 machine no server
is found.
Not sure about your setup. Which of the devices is DLNA
capable? The TV
or the Humax?
