Proposed Core changes

Hi,

There is a proposed core change in Bugzilla that will change a lot of
the internal resource handling. The main idea of the patch is to support
pre-processed resources as used in certain MPEG profiles,
content-protection situations and server-side trickmode support and
maybe helpful in transcoding scenarios as well.

We've had a first round of rough review and the patch needs to be broken
up a bit because it includes serveral changes (seeking changes to
support time and byte-seek on one resource, some fixes, etc.) but I
invite everyone interested to have a look as well:
