Thanks for your reply, Mark.
I preferred to run rygel as the renderer. Can rygel be controlled via a d-Bus API? Such as: play/stop, etc.

Regards,
Alben

Hi Alben,

We have just open-sourced a new component called renderer-service-upnp that allows media renderers, running locally or remotely, to be controlled via a d-Bus API. This component might go some way to satisfying your needs.

Renderer-service-upnp is part of the dLeyna project. You can find the documentation and links to the code on the dLeyna project website ( https://01.org/dleyna ). Please send any questions or comments you may have to the dLeyna mailing list ( dleyna lists 01 org ).

Best Regards,

Mark
