RE: Rygel with Media:Connect on iPhone and Kinsky on Windows

About Kinsky, I think the problem maybe come from Kinsky not from Rygel, I tried this software with Media:Connect (media connect as renderer and kinsky as controller) and the same problem than with rygel happend, to launch a stream I have to delete the playlist... then I can enqueue other files wich are readed . (but kinsky work ok with windows media player 12 for exemple)
Else I tried to replace also the Mediaserver2.xml files but it change nothing with Media:Connect nor Kinsky.

I'm not sure to understand the replacement of the three services version by :1

- In AVTransport2.xml I have :
	<scpd xmlns="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service-1-0">
 	  <specVersion>
      	<major>1</major>
      	<minor>0</minor>

	Do you mean replacing the first line by :
	<scpd xmlns="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:1">

- Similar in RenderingControl2.xml

- And in MediaRenderer2.xml I replaced :
	<deviceType>urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:MediaRenderer:2</deviceType>
	By
	<deviceType>urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:MediaRenderer:1</deviceType>
But this change nothing.

Thanks for your help

Right. I would also replace the MediaServer2.xml file, there was a bug in it using a non-existent UDA version.

Kinsky seems to be available for Linux as well, I will have a look there and check against the latest version of rygel.

For Media:Connect you could try to change the service versions of AVTransport2.xml, RenderingDevice2.xml and MediaRenderer2.xml to :1 (inside the files), remove the Playbin.xml or GstRenderer.xml from ~/.config/Rygel and restart.

Well yes. You didn't have anything run that created the thubmnails (like nautilus). Rygel itself doesn't create the thumbnails, it's just using them. Starting with 0.12 however, we will trigger the DBus thumbnailer service if available. One (I think the only) implementation is the tumbler project.
