Hi,
I've been using rygel on an Ubuntu based server (no Gnome desktop) for some time now and all was well. Recently I upgraded the server to Ubuntu natty and got a new version of rygel (0.8.3) with which I have a couple of problems.
I just using the media-export plugin and usually a PS3 client. I'm just using it for videos at the moment, no pictures or music. If I enable the meta-data extraction then only a small number of my files are harvested (7 out of 600+). Looking at the media-export.db with sqliteman confirms the small number of items.
If I turn off the meta-data extraction then all files are harvested but the response of rygel (when harvesting has finished) is very very slow. Several seconds to list a few folders, nearly a minute to list the 20+ episodes of a TV series for example.
My config file is attached but I think it's normal.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Sim
