Re: Rust+GNOME Hackfest #3 ?

Hi Alberto,

Thanks for the update. I hope you understand that it is very late for
some of us to book the hotels already. The prices are going high. I
was chating with Alex and Guillaume yesterday and we decided to move
the hackfest to Berlin (Kinvolk can host again) as plan B.

Seeing that you still need time to confirm a venue and we really need
to book hotels soon, I vote for moving to plan B already.

We will find something, but with Easter things are a bit slower to move.

Sorry!

Hi Alberto,

What's the status on the venue? You said last week on the Telegram
channel that you have secured it and will update the wikipage shortly
but I still don't see any info there.

Hey everyone,

I'm still chasing a venue, will keep you posted I know this is relevant
for
the people in need to book hotel rooms.

If you need to do costs estimates, try to find hotels rooms around
Atocha
Station, chances are the venue is around there.

Awesome! Please don't remember to update the wikipage with your
arrival/departure info.

Belatedly? I just sent the request to GNOME foundation. :)

Which reminds me, I should update the wikipage to reflect the costs
and foundation sponsorship needs. Everyone who is applying for
sponsorship should do the same.

Looking forward to seeing y'all again in April!

You still don't have write access? I recall I fixed that for you.

Just for the sake of clarity, these are the dates:

-> Tuesday 17 April to Friday 20 April <-

2018-02-24 12:08 GMT+01:00 Alberto Ruiz <aruiz gnome org>:

I'm on it! Book your flights :-)

Since we depend on you for the venue, I assume it's ok (people
said
yes on the doodle so it should be fine).

2018-02-24 12:02 GMT+01:00 Alberto Ruiz <aruiz gnome org>:

That works for me, I'd settle in the second one that gives me
some
extra time to confirm a venue. Does that sound okay?

<guillaume1 gomez gmail com>:

Oh crap, I'm sorry I just looked at the numbers. Well, the
dates
don't change much luckily. So the (updated) dates are:

Tuesday 10 April to Friday 13 April

OR

Tuesday 17 April to Friday 20 April

2018-02-24 1:33 GMT+01:00 Alberto Ruiz <aruiz gnome org>:

I already mentioned that weekends are a no go for me and
would
make
it more difficult to find a venue...

Hi everyone!

So we have two dates that seem to make everyone (or almost)
happy:

Thursday 12 April to Sunday 15 April

OR

Thursday 19 April to Sunday 22 April

If no one cares, I'll take the first one by default (if
it's
ok
with your Alberto!). I'll wait a few days to let you think
about it. ;)

Hi everyone!

So after a talk with Alberto, the hackfest duration would
be
4
days. I'm just waiting for a last person to answer (I'm
starring at you
*meh*!) before picking the dates.

Here it was for the news. More to come later on!

I've set up a doodle here:

If you want more dates, just ask so I can add them if
you
can't.

I'll go if it's finally in Madrid. I wanted to be in
the
first
and second one, but I can't (and I don't like to fly a
lot), so I should go
to this one.

Hi all,

I don't think we're going to find a venue/date that
works
for
everyone, if we can find dates that work for Federico,
Alex and Sebastian, I
think we should make it happen and rebound things at
GUADEC.

We should prolly setup a doodle and try to find the
