One particularly nice item in the thunderbird design is the "save 
search" option. Being able to trivially save searches as automatic 
playlists would be a very cool feature. Of course, this can also be done 
without redesigning the search UI radically as well. I'm just in the 
process of figuring out whether this can be done with a python plugin....
