I think they call this normalisation, and it's where they make certain
strings of characters equal to others. There are many ways to accent an
e in Unicode/UTF-8, some of them even redundant.

Not sure if there are any bugs open on this one ATM.
You should try and get into Bugzilla, it's a much more organised place
to get feature requests in and lets us, you and the rest of the world
track their status better.
