[Rhythmbox-devel] rhythmbox 0.11.0 not compiling

So I downloaded the RB 0.11 sources and I could configure and make it
fine, but when it came to install I had trouble. FYI I'm using Ubuntu
Feisty, and I used checkinstall instead of "make install".

The errors I'm getting make it look as though it can't create the
necessary folders for plugins under /usr/local/lib/rhythmbox/plugins.

I had to create the directory /usr/local/lib/rhythmbox, and all the
folders under it. So I would run checkinstall, see where it error'd out
then create the folder that it was stopping on. I repeated this until
the installer continues, and it got past the plugins fine then. However
it seems to be an overall issue as after the plugins none of the other
directories would get created either. Here are a couple of snips from my
terminal, just a very few.

/usr/bin/install: setting permissions for
`/usr/local/share/gnome/help/rhythmbox/es/figures/rb-window-small.png':
No such file or directory
/usr/bin/install -c -m 644
C/figures/rb-window-small.png /usr/local/share/gnome/help/rhythmbox/el/figures/rb-window-small.png
/usr/bin/install: setting permissions for

-- Installing ./html/rhythmbox-rb-tree-dnd.html
/usr/bin/install: setting permissions for
`/usr/local/share/gtk-doc/html/rhythmbox/rhythmbox-rb-tree-dnd.html': No
such file or directory
-- Installing ./html/rhythmbox-rb-tree-model-sort.html
/usr/bin/install: setting permissions for
`/usr/local/share/gtk-doc/html/rhythmbox/rhythmbox-rb-tree-model-sort.html': No such file or directory
-- Installing ./html/rhythmbox-rb-util.html

/usr/bin/install: setting permissions for
`/usr/local/share/gtk-doc/html/rhythmbox/ch07.html': No such file or
directory
-- Installing ./html/home.png
/usr/bin/install: setting permissions for
`/usr/local/share/gtk-doc/html/rhythmbox/home.png': No such file or
directory

Can anyone help me figure out what's going on here?

Brendan
