I've been trying to use the MTP plugin with my Zen media player, which
only plays wma and mp3 formats. Since a lot of my music is in ogg or
flac (or any number of other things that gstreamer handles wonderfully),
it has to convert these songs to mp3, which it does, and then the
transfer fails.
Songs which are already mp3's get transferred to the player fine, but if
a song needs to be transcoded, it doesn't make it to the player. If I
try enough times, I get errors on the console about some very large
negative number of bytes being written instead of 16. I don't know
why. I wonder if it has something to do with the file being deleted
after the transfer as opposed to the files which are already mp3, and so
aren't deleted after being transfered? Not knowing how it works very
well, that's my best guess.
