Re: [Rhythmbox-devel] patch for the lyrics plugin

In light of the discussion, I would like to know your point of view for
the current implementation of the art display then. It's doing exactly
what you deem is wrong, and yet, for someone like me who has an internet
connection far worse than most of you out there, I like it just fine.
Now the lyrics, which are a fraction of the size of a cover art, yet you
think that's bad (I still need to hear about the art plugin). Also, I
think that in some point in time, saving the lyrics on disc like the art
plugin does it, will be implemented, which will cover for when there's
no internet connection.

And still, I think that people might object that the lyrics are
downloaded (for now) every time the song changes, but some might not.
That's why this should be made into an option, so as to provide some
flexibility. Another idea (which does not exclude the first one), would
be to add a [Fetch the current song] button to the View->Lyrics window
if the option is set to false, or is not implemented. And a good idea at
some point in time would be to have an accelerator open up the window
and show the lyrics, or if the window is open, just to refresh/show the
new lyrics.
