Until that is fixed, ID3 tag editing won't work with gstreamer 0.10. There is also the issue of non-ID3 tagging: * there is a 0.8 "flactag" element, it needs to be ported to 0.10 * 0.8 has a "vorbistag" element that has some work done towards tag writing. It needs to be ported to 0.10, and made to work. * any other formats. The other option is to write an alternate metadata backend. We already have support for multiple backends, it's just the no-one has written one. If someone wrote a backend using taglib (or anything else), it would get into cvs. Cheers, James "Doc" Livingston -- Two decades later, hacker Henry Spencer described the Perl scripting language as a "Swiss-Army chainsaw", intending to convey his evaluation of the language as exceedingly powerful but ugly and noisy and prone to belch noxious fumes.
