[Rhythmbox-devel] mp3 support

Hi,

This is probably not the right place for this, but I couldn't find
anything online, nor was there any info in the INSTALL file ...

I am trying to compile rhythmbox with xine

I configure it thus ... 

./configure --enable-mp3 --with-player=xine

configure however says this at the end ...

configure:    MP3 support is disabled

and if I build ,, I cannot import mp3 files into the library ,,, which
makes it more or less useless ...

any clues  ?

xine can play mp3's .. so can xmms ...
