[Rhythmbox-devel] the lirc interface, where did it hide?

during the time of the great merge tree, there was a nice lirc
interface, that worked seemingly flawlessly. but where did it go now?
during the 0.9 release, there was also a lirc patch, which doesn't work
any more, but also used to work perfectly.The only thing left from the
whole thing is a rb-remote.c/h set of files, and no way to turn on
what's remaining. Is there any hope of seeing something so important to
a "player" program integrated?
