Hi,

I have just installed Gnome 2.6 and Rhythmbox 0.8.7, everytime i wan't tp play a song i get this message:
Could not create audio output element; check your settings

I can play my music with xmms true the alsa 1.2.10 output plugin.

what must i do to have sound in Rhythmbox ?

Alsa into kernel, alsa-utils alsa-lib.
if i run gnome-alsamixer i see as device:
SigmaTel STAAC975/51
