GNOME clocks is one of the applications affected by a change in how
GTK+ handles window sizes. The change was necessary to provide a
consistent CSD story, and many applications have been updated to the
new guidance in
https://wiki.gnome.org/HowDoI/SaveWindowState
I've added a patch to do so for gnome-clocks in
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=763381
Without the patch, the clocks window gets bigger every time you reopen it.
