I can do a release, but I have no idea how to update evince bindings.
Any quick hint? :-) Is it just a matter of running something to update
the .def files?

I guess running h2def.py with suitable command-line options (-m something).  Play with the options a bit until you discover which combination produces defs most similar to the existing ones..
