Hi Matthias,
With such a large undertaking, commitment from the release team will
undoubtedly help answer those questions more rapidly as we approach
the next release. I think that in the last couple of years we've seen
where the developer energy is and we've seen the willingness of
application developers to move forward. Merging the remaining WebKit
branches in GNOME SVN that aren't yet in trunk will get us out of
limbo and help coordinate our efforts. Without the exposure generated
by developer snapshots, it's continues to be difficult to get the
required testing necessary for a successful transition.
