I'm still thinking the client part should live in GTK+. There's
absolutely no reason to have this in a separate library. If we can get
agreement from GTK+ people that this will get in at some point, then I
might be okay to accept the current libnotify in desktop because waiting
for a new GTK+ release might take a long time.

So, my position is: let's first know what GTK+ people think about this.
